次回、ラグビーワールドカップは2023年にフランスで開催されます。先日、2023 ラグビーワールドカップの組分け抽選が行われました。それによりますと、
グループA: （ニュージーランド、フランス、イタリア、アメリカ地区1位、アフリカ地区1位）
グループB: （南アフリカ、アイルランド、スコットランド、アジア・パシフィック地区1位、ヨーロッパ地区2位）
グループC: （ウェールズ、オーストラリア、フィジー、ヨーロッパ地区1位、世界最終予選勝者）
グループD: （イングランド、日本、アルゼンチン、オセアニア地区1位、アメリカ地区2位）
因みに開催都市は、マルセイユ、ボルドー、トゥールーズ、リヨン、リール・ヴィルヌーブ・ダスク、ニース、ナント、サンテティエンヌ です。
2019年大会はホーム開催だったので、総予算20万円程度で楽しめました。しかし、フランス大会を本気で楽しむ（＝長期滞在）となったら、まあ、この10倍の予算が必要でしょう。ざっと200万円。車が買えちゃいますね。弾丸ツアー、すなわち日本の試合を2試合くらいみてすぐ帰ってくるとしても、50万円くらい行きそうです。（下の写真は、日本の熊谷スタジアム。フランスではありません。）
まあ予算を低く抑えるには、経験上チケットを先ず押さえる事。うまくいけば、予算を3分の1くらいに抑えることができます。チケット込みのツアーは、「え、えっ！」と驚くくらい高いので。まあ、これから情報収集に努めます。
ジャージ コレクション18
2021年1月に珍しいジャージを入手できました。
メルカリで5,000円で入手。ルーマニア代表の実使用ジャージです。日本で海外ラグビーの実使用ジャージというのはあまり出回りません。経験上、その理由を推測してみると、日本での実使用ジャージの取引価格が、欧米に比べてかなり低い。だいたい10分の1以下です。
記憶に新しいのは、1987年の第1回ＲＷＣの日本対オーストラリアの実使用ジャージで今は亡き平尾誠二さんのジャージが2019年にヤフーオークションに出品されました。私も入札しました。20,000円（安すぎ？）。まあ、落札できないだろうなと、思いましたが、その時の最高値が120,000円。でも、売り主の最低落札価格が300,000円で、結局誰も落札できませんでした。たぶん、海外で200,000円～250,000円で入手したのではないかと思います。
これをみてもわかるように、日本のＭｒ．ラグビー 平尾誠二選手のW杯ジャージでさえも、日本では10万円程度の値段しかつかないです。
で、話は元に戻って、このルーマニア代表ジャージですが、
表面にサインがしてありました。
若干、文字が薄くなっておりますが、Tony Underwoodと読み取れます。対戦相手の選手がサインしたものですね。
おお、Tony Underwood。もちろん私も知っています。1995年のRWCイングランド代表として、ラグビーワールドカップに出場しました。兄のRorry Underwood とともに、兄弟でイングランド代表チームのウイングとして活躍した快速選手です。
このサインを足掛かりに、このジャージがどの試合でおこなわれたのかを調べてみました。Tony Underwoodは、1992年から1998年までにイングランド代表として活躍しています。
このジャージに、ワールドカップのマークは刺繍されていませんので、ワールドカップ以外での対戦に絞られます。そして、最近私がよく利用する海外オークションサイト ｅ－ＢＡＹにイングランド ｖｓ ルーマニアで検索をかけたら、プログラムが出てきました。
このプログラムをオークションで落札（1,400円プラス送料3,000円）。1月下旬に、送られてきました。日本だとこうした昔のプログラムは、なかなか見つかりません。イングランドのファンに感謝。試合日は、1994年11月12日。あとテストマッチ使用のジャージなので、当然、背番号があります。
スタメンを確認。ルーマニア代表の背番号11（左ウイング）のこの選手は、「R.CIOCA」。下の写真の上の選手ですね。
そして、対面のイングランドの14番（右ウイング）は、スタメンの表で確認すると、Tony Underwood。
ついに、特定できました。いやあ、嬉しい。一仕事を成し遂げた達成感があります。このジャージは、毎日部屋にかざっていますが、私一人が楽しんでももったいないので、このブログでなるべく沢山の人に見てもらいたいです。
